Glitzy shopping district drives home economic reality for teens

The air was warm and the sidewalks were packed on a recent Saturday afternoon when a woman driving a black Mercedes pulled alongside a couple in a red Corvette. “Don’t cut me off ever again,” shouted the woman, who sneered at the other driver and seemed ready to run through an intersection of pedestrians that included my son and two teenage friends.
