A 34-year-old former nurse made his first appearance in court today after being charged with sexual battery.
Shawn Garbin was charged in Johnson County District Court with one count of aggravated sexual battery and one count of sexual battery/touching, both against someone at least 16 years old, for incidents that allegedly occurred in December 2007.
Garbin has agreed not to be employed in the nursing profession, according to court records. A condition of his bond was that he have no contact with the victims or witnesses.
